Clark County The Genealogy & History Department is here to help people learn about the rich history of Clark County, Indiana.

The majority of genealogy and history materials are kept at the Charlestown Library branch. The four other branches house materials mostly pertaining to their area.

We have 2 collections on IM containing thousands of images created from original source material owned by the library. Items are still being added.

The library owns a large collection of documents, maps, photographs and objects from the plants. Read about this collection and the history of the plant. A large portion of the items have been digitized and can be seen in the Clark County Collection on Indiana Memory.
